1) The End Of Year WSA Poll

Fill out our End of Year Poll and help set the WSA priorities for the coming year. It's short, we promise, and the section with the highest response rate will get a prize!


4) WSA/Green Team Clothing Drive

ECs, preparing for the inevitable  move away from HBS and Boston? RCs, got a lot of old clothes and need to make room for new ones in our tiny apartments around campus?  Come donate your old clothes at the WSA/Green Team Clothing Drive!  There will also be a swap event after the collection period where you can come browse the assortment your fellow classmates have donated and stock up for your new job, internship, or social calendar.

2) EC Field Study Presentation

Title: How Mothers on the Fast-Track Juggle Careers and Families

When: April 28th, 6-7pm

Where: Aldrich 209

What: A presentation by two EC women (Anne Zimmerman and Molly Melican) on the results of a field study focusing on how high-powered women maintain their fast-track careers while managing a family. The presentation will cover practical advice from 25 interviews with high-powered female executives with children.  Topics addressed will include picking a partner, choosing the right company, communicating pregnancy with colleagues, managing maternity leave and structuring household help, among others.

5) Mixer with female Executive Education participants!

When: Wednesday May 4th 5:45-6:45pm

What: Please sign up on the poll for this event. Attendance will be capped at 25 MBA students - 60 Exec Ed participants from the Women’s Leadership Forum(WLF) will be attending. The WLF is a week-long exec ed program designed specifically for senior businesswomen from around the world – successful leaders of public and private firms, including business owners, entrepreneurs, corporate officers, and nonprofit executives.  This is a great opportunity to meet highly successful women from across a variety of different industries!

6) EC-RC Buddy Program Sign Up

Want to have a positive impact on the experience of first year women next year? Sign up to be an EC Buddy to one or more RCs – you will be paired with an incoming member of the Class of 2013 based on your personal/professional interests, and will have a chance to mentor your buddy through a variety of group and 1-1 events during the coming year.

The section with the highest participation rate wins a wine and cheese reception sponsored by the WSA, so SIGN UP NOW!

The WSA congratulates Monica Belsito, Andrea Ellwood, Megan Lesko, Ruchi Saha, Kat Shaul for a fantastic year-long study of the academic gender achievement gap at HBS, exploring the root causes and potential solutions to this issue.  Their work gives the administration, faculty, and students a better understanding and perspective of the status quo at HBS.  Read about it here:!
