Title: Learning to Team, Teaming to Learn: How the Learning Organization Really Works, An evening with Professor Amy Edmondson

Where: Hawes 101

What: The HBS Women's Association of Boston invites members of the HBS WSA to its upcoming event with Professor Amy Edmondson as she shares insights from her forthcoming book on learning organizations, Learning to Team, Teaming to Learn. Says Edmondson: “The traditional notion of the team as a stable, bounded entity that persists over time is becoming obsolete. Teams in today’s workplace are constantly reconfiguring to respond to changing projects, tasks, and strategic priorities. Leading a successful learning organization is not about creating effective teams, it’s about creating the conditions for teaming – a verb. Today’s leaders understand that they themselves no longer have the answers for winning in a fast-changing environment with constantly shifting problems. Inspiring and engaging team-based learning provides a path forward.” Cost: $10 per student; Register here
